Didn't need to or prevented to be part due to the lore? It would be a fairly boring movie to watch her in cryo sleep for two hours.

When the station explodes you can actually see her ship leave the station. Look for it. The movie is inspired by one of the books Out of the Shadows and the game Alien Isolation. Basically what happens in the book is she fought on the other side of the station and got messed up so she got put in a med pod and it gave some sort of short term memory loss and her whole fight came to her in clips and flashbacks in nightmares which is what happens in Aliens.

You must have forgotten, Ripley was in hyper-sleep for 57 years.

I really enjoyed ALIEN: ROMULUS. It was a scary thrill-ride science fiction adventure as well as a decent horror movie. My rating - 8.5/10. 😁👍

Romulus was fun in some ways, but ultimately it relies on a group of careless idiots making an endless stream of bad choices to function, not to mention all the things that had to NOT happen for these idiots to even have this opportunity. Why was the station just sitting there with zero security given its highest security protocol contents? How did these idiots have a vehicle capable of leaving the atmosphere while it seems no one else does? There are MANY questions just like these. It's a terrible script, but WOW the movie does LOOK amazing!
