Global temperatures continue to rise

Newly released data from NOAA and NASA shows 2018 was the fourth-warmest year on record. Scientists say global temperatures are rising due to the burning of fossil fuels, and the changes in the climate are contributing to more extreme weather.

How about showing the data on the temperatures going back a couple of thousand years, it will show a completely different picture. It would show a rise in global temperatures following 600 years of colder temperatures, which would suggest the current weather trends to be normal.

But didn't the NASA report read "Globally, 2018’s temperatures rank" behind" those of 2016, 2017 and 2015"?

Also I didn't notice the +- on any of the temperature listed. In 2018 NOAA had an average of +/- 0.08 °C margin of error. In 2011, in November they had a margin of error of +/- 0.2 °C

This is not a chart of global temperatures, PLEASE SHOW A GRAPH with the correct title or with the correct data. Temperature anomalies is not the same as temperature.

the graph is very misleading it goes Orange in 1930 but the temperature anomaly stays at a negative value until around 1980. also 40 years of warming for a planet that is 4.5 billion years old is a fraction of a millisecond for a human life. we need more data
