I felt like I made a ton of progress on my current project today that is in the first draft stage. I also have an extremely strong feeling that everything I wrote today is going to need to be rewritten in a better order. To help that make sense, I’m definitely a discovery writer and I’m in the first draft of the first act so there’s a ton of info dumping a backstory where info dumping and backstory don’t need to be.

My favourite author Stephen Pressfield said Writing is rewriting. How right he is. That first draft is just that. And lot of work lies ahead.

Writing takes a lot of reading and thinking to do. Luckily for me that my day job is running a machine and boring as can be, so I brainstorm as much as possible.
