I love the “instead of protecting from downside you should optimize for the upsides” I feel like I’ve been protecting myself from the downsides and am now lost what I want out of my career. I’ve lost motivation to work and don’t know what I’m doing anymore. I’ve been stuck trying to figure out what to pivot to next

hi, chloe! your vlog is so relatable and realistic. a lot of the people i enjoy watching leave out most of the parts of their creative world and just highlight what they think we must see (which are always just about the pretty sides) but yours is different as you really carried us WITH YOU. just seeing how a content creator starts from scratch, like from having to leave a familiar world to considering another career and actually building it, i think that's a great and interesting story to follow and to love. i loved listening to you- your thoughts, your worries, the hustles, and all that, i mean this is everything that everyone considers in reality. I'm glad you brought it here and ahhhckk i want to see more from you. fighting~

Honestly Chloe, you seem so passionate when talking about loving being a PM! I also think your content was very relatable with you talking about jobs and career and it felt nice to know you're in ita dn experiencing it, not just making content about it. But of course it is your choice!

I think your content is great because you provide a much more 'wise' perspective on the job market...and on life in general. A lot of content creators are super young (as you mentioned), have very small understanding of corporate culture, what a 'normal' 9-5 looks like, etc. It's really jarring sometimes to see them trying so hard to portray a perfect picture, and I think you bring an element of 'realism' that is needed.

I think your tech managers made the right call. This is the perfect transition period that you can make full use of to experiment, iterate, and to breathe a little (I know how stressful PM is sometimes depending on the product lol). Worst comes to worst, you have a great resume and can dive into a ton of different companies when the job market recovers a little.

I'm kind of in the same position where I'm currently unemployed and have this time to decide what I want to do moving forward and feeling a bit lost - and also starting over at 30!! you have no idea how much this resonates with me even though we have different backgrounds. This video was so soo helpful where I can loosely take the advice given to you and apply it to my life! Thank you for sharing!!

Although, I followed you because of ‘corporate’ (since TikTok vid), I think you may have the natural flair for content creation - creative side. You managed to grow another 100k subscribers so fast when you focused on home tour/being creative. Not many people can be creative and analytical at the same time, and it seems like you can do both. Usually those people who can do both can really excel in own journey. This is just a gut say tho & you know yourself best! All the best!

16:13 I'm not surprised that Kevin's advice was the one that seemed the most rational. He knows you best and has repeatedly seen that you're the type of person to succeed regardless of niche

Hi Chloe! First, your social battery is impressive! So much going on and so many people to see! I wanted to say that you have so many options and you know that you will excel at whatever it is that you put your mind to. I love seeing how you cultivated relationships with people where you can ask for guidance but also provide the same when a friend is in need. I love your content but I understand wanting to be a "salary man". I did freelancing for a bit and realized that I don't want to think about work 24/7 and I would rather clock out mentally once my work is done. I am excited to see what you do next and thanks for sharing with us!

I just graduated and am looking for jobs in tech rn. Really relatable to see that this constant struggle with choosing between paths, how to optimize your life, actually never ends. Easy for us to think it gets clear and easier when you become older.

I very much don't work in your area of expertise, but my boyfriend is in the tech sphere, and I like learning from him about things I don't understand, and I really enjoy hearing about your life just to understand his a little more. Our lives are very different, but you seem like a genuine person which is why I started watching your content.

I'm a Creative Writing MFA graduate and published poet--and I totally get where you're coming from. Professionally while I was in Grad School, I'd been working the Corporate Life and really enjoyed the structure of it and the discipline it entailed + goal-setting, negotiating, achieving things. And it came as a shock to me when I finally got the opportunity to teach and write full time that I actually didn't enjoy the environment that much. I think a lot of what fueled me to write was being around a variety of people (not to say that all creative people are the same--of course not; but it's like all of you are looking at life from that creative/"let's make something from this" kind of mindset) and so I realized the life I wanted was actually a variation of the life I was already living: working in corporate, but also doing a lot of creative stuff on the side.

Chloe you know so many interesting people in literally all fields! Always wondering if you can film an episode about networking / meeting people / making friends (this will be extremely helpful for people just starting their career journey like me!) Love your video as always!

The 2 camera setup is 🔥. The cut makes things so interesting. Good luck with the career path choice!

I think you should just own corporate (until you absolutely don't want to anymore). A lot of us found you through your PM and career advice. Now you can document interview prep, interviewing, talking through your thoughts and learnings in a NEW market, and then rejoin. And if you don't like it, then you can always quit and do YouTube! But since you're conflicted, I think it would be nice to just try to join corporate again while also doing youTube on the side until you know for sure that you want to do YouTube 100%. I also think not doing youTube 100% sets you apart from the rest of the YouTubers. There are many people who just lifestyle vlog and your channel was more unique.

Great video, Chloe! Its so evident from the video that you're in love and almost born for product management, whether working at big techs or start-ups or whatever the industry of company size is. I just really adore your enthusiasm for work even though I don't work in tech or product. About going full on with content, it's your choice and everyone should respect that. I just think that as a viewer, we need more product managers out there on social media than another vlogger who shares with us her ordinary life that's pretty much the same as us but she gets to live a privileged life and makes money off the more views she has, which equals to more people watching and craving that for themselves. I believe you will find your sweet spot soon and I'll be here watching and supporting you as usual 😝😝😝
