Cardiac arrest is when your heart stops beating. A myocardial infarction is the term you're looking for, which is referred to as a heart attack. Heart attacks can lead to cardiac arrest, but that's not what happened in this case. Just sayin'.

If someone wants to do something risky, I'm not opposed to someone advising against it. I'm opposed to that risk being banned, shut down or criminalized. To a degree, we must learn to live with risk instead of fearing it. A kid who is protected from ever touching the hot stove will not learn the same lesson as the kid whose parents let them touch it once.

Also, eating a big burger is not the same as putting a gun in your mouth. The risk is different; that's my point.

and this is why resturants overseas has big signs that says, "MEAT NOT IMPORTED FROM AMERICA", for this very reason. The stuff the corporate FDA allows in our food is sickening...*literally*

It's wasn't a cardiac arrest, it was a heart attack. There is a big difference.

i rather die soon, eating what i want... than to live "longer" with people telling me how i should live my own life.

You can't get a heart attack from eating. True, the food can weaken your system, and clog arteries, but you will not get a heart attack from the food. The heart attack is usually triggered by stress.

It is very unlikely that the burger he was eating at the time lead to his cardiac arrest. People don't just simply go into cardiac arrest because of food. I don't think we should be ridiculing people who have maintained bad habits throughout their lives that do lead to events like cardiac arrests.

You're not thinking terribly hard if you believe you're the only one affected by your risk-taking.

BTW, a "heart attack" and "cardiac arrest" are not the same thing AT ALL.
Cardiac arrest is much worse, and has 90% fatality rate. It comes on FAST, as basically your heart just STOPS beating.
Heart attack comes on more subtle, and is much more survivable.

People always cry that there is no truth in advertising. And now that there is a place that has that truth, people complain.

Nothing beats a good burger...which is why burger joints aren't going to disappear anytime soon. Having said that who the hell can eat a 6, 000 cal burger in one setting? A typical burger is around 350 calories and then you have the fries which are around 400-450 calories . Also the average daily calorie intake for a man is about 2500 although alot of people will often say thats too small depending on the average healthy man's everyday activities .

I do honestly hope this place doesn't close down. As much as I wouldn't wanna eat there myself (and if I did, smallest portion they got!), I like the sheer freedom of it. I like that people can say, "I know the risks. I'm eating there anyway." Is it a bad decision? Maybe. But it's not someone else's to make. If everyone else wants to prioritize safety over pleasure, and I don't, and I'm only risking myself, I should be allowed to. Everyone should be allowed to choose their own priorities.
