In today’s Shorts tip, we will be giving some tips on what to do immediately after a water spill on your laptop. Of course, the best course of action is to never have liquid near your computer or laptop. However, if it does happen watch our Water spill video to perform some emergency fixes.

I just spilled a lot of water on my dad's computer, pretty sure it's broken because it won't turn on and he doesn't know about it yet. He is almost coming home I'm scared to see his reaction 😭

my lovely coordination knocked over my water bottle onto my laptop's keyboard, afraid i took too long between panicking and wiping away what i could before turning it off

will update if it does turn on and functions tomorrow :)

update: let it dry for 24hours and it works smoothly!

Do bare in mind that water could damage rhe hareware but if you turn in off and do what they did in this video it might live.

Just today morning I spilled a bottle full of cleaning liquid (Colin) on my laptop ….. The screen faded and became whitish and started flickering . Removed the Battery and kept it in the sun for about 4 hours and then switched it on and ran several cpu throttling tests at the same time for about 1 hour to heat the internal parts and vaporise the loquid. To heaven’s surprise, it worked for my and now my laptop is fine again.

So I basically spill a ton of water on laptop keyboard, but I didn’t panic and quickly turned it off, wiped the keyboard and the screen with a towel then putted it under the sun for an hour, it survived but now I don’t know whether I should turn it on again or not, even though i did turn it on and it worked, I still want to take a precautionary action

Look if i happen to stumble upon this comment. I'll tell you my case. I was drinking a Oreo shake with tiny pieces of Oreo in it, I spilled it all over my macbook keyboard. All i did was keep it in tent position for like 2 hours or so in my shelf, shelf because it needs to be warm. Then I just opened it and it was working just fine. Also when u open it click shift+ power button to safeboot it. Dont panick. Thank you!

I remember I once spilled water on my laptop on accident. We were from a not very rich family so when my mom found out she was really angry. She called me pathetic and wished I was never hers. That has been stuck with me for a long time

I spilled water on my laptop and i wiped it and turned upside down for 3 hours as i was panicking i didn't tell anyone, after almost 3 hours when i power on the power button had light and fan was working but screen was all black . I was sleeping when suddenly the ac was leaking..i stay at hostel was gonna freak out for a sec coz the laptop was expensive for me (abt over 1200 usd). It was an acer predator neo 16. Btw what do you think I should do now....like the laptop seems to work fine after half an hour of drying and it looked like it got quite drenched before I removed it from that place. I accidentally spilled juice on the keyboard, which caused the screen to glitch and turn off. The keyboard is now sticky, and though the computer's lights are still on, it's not responding when I try to turn it back on. My life is ruined.
