Is Your Water Cloudy Water After Installing Water Filter?

Sometimes, after installing a new Hydroviv water filter, the water is cloudy. This cloudiness is temorary caused by tiny air bubbles that are squeezed out of the new filter cartridge! The water is perfectly safe to drink!

It’s NOT safe to drink bc it’s not jut air.. that’s what the technician told me when they installed my new fridge. Also, water & how it looks coming out of your faucets can vary for several different factors depending on where you are.

What about if it happens after each regen cycle? Manufacturer says it’s ok but why? I’d have milky water for a few days every other week. Doesn’t sound right.

Fill up a tall glass and watch how the bubbles go to the surface and disappear.  after about a couple minutes the water is clear.  Safe to drink.

Mine stays cloudy I left it out for hours and it stayed the same and tips or reasons why?

As per my filter manual it would take around 2 weeks for this to be more clear.

I just changed mine a few days ago. What if the cloudiness doesn't disappear even after five minutes?

Thanks but it’s the white ice cubes I’m wondering about… I’d hoped the filter would make clear, pure ice? Or can it be “ clear” even tho the cubes are white, which I thought meant there were impurities in the ice water? Thanks

Thats just air getting into the pipes and it is perfectly safe to drink

It's highly likely that you have hard water. Most all water filters.Ironically, do not filter for hard water.

It's not just bubbles. After a minute when you thought the bubbles gone, shake that bottle again and you'll find the particles still there. This not happen on normal water even I shake so hard and the bubbles will be gone in 5-10 seconds

I have cloudy water after boiling water in the kettle. Who knows why? They're new filters.

After installation last evening of the under the sink filter, this morning the cold water was dark gray. After running it for a while, it remains cloudy gray. Is this normal? Will it go away soon? When can I drink it?

mine is NOT cloudy there are just bubbles ??which usually indicates "life" yes?nver had that with my RO water ?
