My paternal family, including my father, and at times myself, lived with tank water only since their arrival in Australia in 1837.
There was nobody to call on to give a reticulated supply, some help themselves, some are helpless.

Don't be asking for a hand out.
I'm on my own well also and I pay outa pocket for maintenance and repair. Pool your funds and fix the issue.
