It is sad that so many gay men never get to experience the true, deep love of a soulmate. They get so hung up on a person’s exterior and only will settle for a man who is prettier than themselves. This is why most get to be old and lonely and still chasing after young pretty guys, sitting in bars still waiting for that perfect 21 year old.

I love the fact that u mention this, to top it off being a feminine gay like myself just makes life worse because i dont feel apreciated for me cause people always be focusing on image & appearance wich really tears me apart when i think about it,

And facts its impossible to attain the kind of body our community values,

I feel like things need to change otherwise our kids are gonna suffer in the future

The "gay male body standard" clearly is possible to achieve because lots of people do.

But the point is that "standards" arent what we should be about. We all like what we like and we all need to seek to be healthy physically and mentally with ourselves.

Bears who are happy being bears have learned to accept themselves and present themselves as real, beautiful, and living life to their fullest.

Regardlessnif youre twink, twunk, muscled, chubby, bear, or "average" (whatever that means ha) please find what makes you happy. Thats the most important thing.

Im a bear that doesnt like being a bear. So im working on being happy by moving out of this body.

As an older gay man, I’m very much aware of this issue among the younger generations of younger LGBT people and younger gay men in particular, who are struggling to find acceptance, especially among their peers and the attitudes and experiences that they are encountering from within the LGBT community are quite rightly attracting criticism against the LGBT elites, who should be doing much more to tackle these issues, much of which is based on social class issues - it’s all very well to lust after this handsome hot hunk who goes to the gym every day and who has a perfect toned 6 pack abs etc, but this is not even a realistic image or standard for most gay men, who in their efforts to achieve this are having eating disorders for example - compared to my generation, younger gay men have much more challenges to face
