When she says, “I’m not interested.” Red flag, she not into you, she doesn’t like you, and doesn’t want anything to do with you.

Don’t agree with number 1. Some parents are absolutely crazy!

Number 4 is a bit harsh. Everyone is on their own journey and at least she is addressing her issues. Compared to how many people out there ignoring and masking their issues? Lots of bat shit crazy people out there that don’t take meds or see a therapist. They’re in denial.

Hey Tripp! I started dating a girl that ended a long time relationship less than 6 months ago. At first I saw it as a red flag and even joked that I was the rebound guy but she adamantly refuted that I was the rebound guy, and said I was more than that and was super into me so I ignored that red flag. Now she's been busier with work and no longer acting "head over heels into me". I've always been a follower of the rule that if someone isn't being "Hell yeah" about being with me then it's a "hell no". Should I just move on from this girl even though I do like her a fair bit or is it better to wait and see what happens while I focus on the other parts of my life?

Please note that ADHD is completely fine, as long as you dont find entusiastic and to some degree nymphomaniac girls as an issue. ADHD isnt a bonus by any means, but a red flag is taking it way too far.

some more that can be used to gauge signals early on:
6. If she tries to tie you down early on while on seeing stage, maybe she will ask where are we heading in just 2 weeks
7. If she tries to do a lot of things for you like come over cook for you and tries to re-arrange cleanup your house by 2nd or 3rd date
8. If she says the L word by 2nd or 3rd date - neediness
9. if she gets easily attached, talking or spending time with her makes you feel emotionally drained
10. If she wants to be on call with you everyday for hours and can't bear not having your attention for even a single day

I saw all this by 2nd date in my recent date and my gut instinct was screaming to end it

Women that talk about their ex are to be avoided.

In my last relationship I scored 3 out of those 5. And, as you can guess, it didn't end up well 😀

Being a divorcee, two others are:
1. "I'm still married".
2. " I'm pregnant with my ex's child."

What about women that talk about their tattoos? I don't mean 1 or 2 small ones that can be easily covered up, I'm talking about large "back murals" or arm sleeves that she says are for personal reasons. To me that's more of an orange flag you should definitely be on your guard about

#4 should be thought out way better. Unless someone wants to rule out 25% of the population medication is part of the resolution for treatment. Not all psychological issues make people “crazy” in fact most do not. I’d take a mature self-knowing person on meds for depression over an immature insecure person any day. Lots of people you would never know because they lead happy normal lives are on medication for mild to moderate psychological issues. Unresolved is fine as a red flag but requiring them to be off their meds is super ignorant. Sure if someone has bpd or bipolar it would be important to know what those are in very good detail and exactly how she is affected by it and whether that’s something you want to deal with. Reminder that you don’t want to date super selfish people or psychopaths either but there aren’t medications for those issues and they’re worse than bpd and bipolar for a relationship.

Tripp, number 1 is unfair. You could probably say that my mom had/has all of these red flags. She and most of her side are soul sucking vampires. It is only thanks to my dad and his upbringing that I grew into a halfway decent adult. That anyone might be stricken from the dating pool for not having contact with leeches because they are blood related is nuts. Daddy issues makes sense. I get that.

Family is too broad. I tell my stepmom all the time, my friends and I choose each other. I didn't have a choice on my family which is the result of two horny teenagers.

Tattoos and silly piercings are a red flag to me.. they probably have been ran through more times than a Holland tunnel.
