Like Fox Mulder, I want to believe. Whenever there's any new "evidence" about aliens visiting Earth, I consume it voraciously, looking for something to convince me, but sadly, I'm only ever left disappointed by grainy videos, dolls, and anecdotes.

For now, I try to be content just believing that there is life out there somewhere. There must be, even if it's just microbial life in primordial pools of some strange fluid on a planet orbiting a distant star.

I've probably heard every 9-11 conspiracy theory out there, including the newer ones (space lasers fired from satellites). But one thing I've never really come across in any of these theories is a disrespect towards the victims, as you eluded to. It's not disrespectful to question a government narrative, nor is it disrespectful to float a theory (even if it is ridiculous). The common thread with nearly all 9-11 theories is that victims weren't blamed or disrespected.

I was going to say that the only thing that conspiracy theorists don't question is their own existence. But then I remembered, that Descartes did .
He questioned himself silly.
"Cogito ergo sum" or something like that in Latin.
He based his existence on Doubt He thought..." I can doubt everything...I might not exist at all . But one thing I cannot doubt is.. that I'm doubting. So if I am doubting, I am thinking. And if I am thinking, therefore I am !.
Took a bit of figuring out for him. But he got there. Most of us don't have to think that deeply about it.
So that's what " Cogito ergo sum" means.
I think therefore I am.
