Okay people... Just so we are all on the same page, since I'm getting some odd questions I didn't think I had to answer... ':D

Yes, you DO need to have a video for this to work... If you don't have one, record one on your PC, or on your phone.

To add music to your video, use a video editor on your PC, like Sony Vegas or Premiere Pro.

No, you cannot add a thumbnail to shorts (yet).

If your short isn't becoming a short when you upload to YouTube, it's because you didn't follow every step in the video. If you are now commenting "but I did follow every step"... No you didn't, you most likely didn't make the video portrait mode (1080x1920, NOT 1920x1080), or it isn't less than 1min, etc... :)
