this video could have been a short... to save views time, make sure you enable 4k viewing on wifi in the settings, make sure th video you want to upload is in 4k (YouTube will not upscale a 720p or 1080p video to 4k). to find that high quality button option, jump to 4:15.

The key to what you said that changed everything for me was “upload as a video and not as a short”. I had already been doing the three things you mentioned and it was still saying SD video on analytics. I Did upload video and for the first time in 50 shorts it’s in HD!!! Thank you.

My experience is this button only works for landscape long form videos. My 4K60fps portrait shorts are displaying at noticeably less quality than the original after uploading with the “full quality” option on. I followed all 3 steps. I have written YT support.

I tried all the steps but my short videos are still not being uploaded as 4k videos. However, when i tried with long format videos, it worked and it got uplaoded in 4K but don't know what is an issue with shorts?? please help..
