Choosing Telescope for Astrophotography Part 1

For amateur astronomers like us, buying a telescope is like buying a house. Because it will be the host of our curiosities, ambitions, explorations and dreams. Thus, Telescope is a huge market, and there're so many guide-to-your-first-telescope type of thing, they all go through refractors, Newtonians and then Schmit-Cassegrains etc. But I'm going to take a different approach here.....

Thank you for the information. It was very useful for me because I am "building" the astrophotography set. Thanks.

FANTASTIC! You have broken down the main variables in how to select a quality telescope and match it with the right camera. Thank you for this video and the next one. Dawe's Limit is alive and well. I subbed!

I've been trying to decide between the Takahashi E180 and a Celestron EdgeHD 11 or 14. I know they are quite different, but this helped me. Takahashi is looking even better..

Decreased noise for the larger aperture, never thought about that but it's about the best explanation anyone could have given. Nice job Ben!

Very scientific information! And very useful too! There are very few contributors on YouTube who have solid scientific foundation on astrophotography - you are one of them.
