Forest, I want to express a very sincere, deeply felt thank you for the videos you produce. The 'tube is full of videos where the author may have the right intent but for whatever reason they are poorly executed. That is not the case with your videos. One of your first videos I watched was how to do panoramic (panos) photography and within a short time (couple of weeks) I was able to produce a beautiful HD pano for which I have received many, many complements. You videos about astrophotography are even better! I've watch 3 or 4 of your videos on the subject which brought me up speed very fast to the point that I quickly can read, associate and discuss other materials on the web with some intelligence in a matter of a of days. Please keep it up!

My name is Dan Hervey, I'm 70+ years old and I'm just getting started in Astrophotography, "who says your ever to old to take on a new hobby challange" ! I have a Celestron NexStar 8SE Schmidt Cassegrain telescope and I'm ordering the Celestron Advance VX mount & tripod. Thanks again for another inspiring video, the more I learn about astrophotograhpy, the more complex it seems to be. Your videos are a great resource, thanks for your time and efforts. I am just getting started and this video solves my mount questions. I have tried to mount my Canon EOS to a old 114mm Meade reflector but am unable to focus due to the length of the camera adapter - if there is a fix, do you think it is worth messing with? My other thought was to start over with a smaller refractor (73mm - 80mm) with better optical quality. Thanks.

Way too long, and that’s something I need to optimize. Takes me well over an hour. I’ve heard of people getting *very* accurate polar alignment within 15 minutes, and I’d sure like to learn how. Once I do, I’ll definitely pass it along.
