The simple reason is Microsoft wasn't bad before or good now, they simply do whatever works. Back then destroying others worked, then it didn't, now cooperating works.
One day however it might not

Satya Nadella is probably the best choice MS could have ever made

Love the way he seamlessly transitioned the primary content, to the sponsor at the end 😂.

If only microsoft improved their smartphone division back then. They could become the most powerful company.
Great video btw.

Simple they got rid of their old CEOs and upper management to diversify their company out of Windows

I still so wish that the Windows phones were a hit. They would have helped in making Microsoft the perfect competitors to Apple's ecosystem.

I'm loving Microsoft more now. Where Apple sells a metal stand for $999 only.

I was reading about this in Satya Nadella's book, "Hit Refresh" just yesterday.

Feels like Microsoft is just trying to gain control over these services and technologies. For instance, making Sony more dependent on Microsoft's infrastructure is actually giving the latter some advantage

They may seem like good guys now, but I will never forget what they did with Nokia

And Google carries the torch of the old Microsoft forward. Or maybe, they're even worse 😀

I read the Windows EULA, it's one of the many reasons why I switched to Linux.

I'll admit Microsoft have changed gears, but I'm more a fan of having control of MY computer and what it does.

Nothing has really changed at Microsoft. The only thing they got better at is PR. All the other changes are either market pressure, ie office on mac/iOS. Linux kernel and their participation in Linux Foundation is continuation of EEE.
Aaaaand you have mentioned all this while I was writing this comment :)
