My take is that Microsoft isn't investing to take on Google search with a improved Bing, but some product in the future that we don't even know about that will make Google obsolete. And somehow I think OpenAI's products are in line with Microsoft's mission statement to enable users

Microsoft is a joke. nobody uses cortana, everyone hates microsoft teams, even though many corporate companies use it, and windows is going down the drain. People use bings solely to search for google. In phones, their windows phone flopped, their zune music player flopped, and even in gaming, PlayStation is better than Xbox. The only thing they're good at is buying out companies like Github, LinkedIn, and Activision Blizzard. and I guess now, Open AI.
