🍕 Microsoft Loop is the next chapter for Fluid and Microsoft’s clear entrance to the Notion competitor market.

Competition is good. If Google finally does something like this, Notion will be in real danger. Imagine Google integrating block notes with Keep, checkbox notes with Tasks and any Calendar view of a database with Google Agenda. It would be amazing.

I'm excited about this one! Notion does need competition to step up its game. If Loop comes with the offline feature, I'm sure many Notion users will make the switch.

I can totally get on board with this. I moved everything from Evernote to Notion a while back and it was a huge step up. I've always loved MS apps though, and if they can come up with a good offline app and some of the more powerful Notion features like linked databases, etc, I will make the switch, assuming that their migration tool is also accurate and reliable. Love where this is going!

As much as I love Notion and its free-wheeling methods of allowing users to set up Notion in unique wats to suit each user, there are still too many aspects of Notion that give me pause to go all in on the app (privacy concerns, no ability to use off-line, few integrations) and away from Evernote. If Microsoft can build Loop to more closely resemble Notion while keeping it tightly integrated with Office 365 and other MSFT apps, it could be a real game changer.

I'm lost in a billion productivity apps that have ground my productivity to stagnant or even backward... I think I'll smash my phone, throw my PC of a cliff and if I need more than a list of 5 items on a piece of paper then I won't do it...

Finally more options. Hopefully Google and Apple will follow. I wish I can get an alternative for Notion that is locally stored, easy to use, secure and highly customizable.

My Uni is heavy into the MS ecoystem, so I might need to take a serious look at this, for my volunteering work with the Student Union. So ta for this! 👍

My company being heavily invested in MS means that I can finally marry my work and my personal (I use Notion at home) by bringing my Notion-based personal organization skills over to my work! Exciting!

This looks promising. There were articles a few years ago about microsoft experimenting with a program that can have you access different types of office files within tabs like an internet browser. This seems to be an implementation of this idea. Hopefully they are in this for the long run, and they probably are given the abilities of these hybrid work spaces. It seems like Notion's databases are integral to the experience which makes me wonder how microsoft would approach that if they do at all.

When is it actually coming out? I can't figure out how to use it because there is nothing on that page about it. And I can't add any Loop add-ons to Teams.

Competition is a good thing, especially for Notion where is doesn't really have a direct competitor. I hope this works out for Microsoft.

I just put my top client on MS Teams and he was impressed with how I setup my personal Notion. So now, I think I can setup his "Notion-like" dashboard.

The Google Wave comparison from Techcrunch made little sense.

My business is part of microsoft ecosystem. We had concerns regarding privacy and safety of notion. MS loop is amazing, not only is it more reliable(cmon we can all agree Microsoft is pretty reliable) but also integrates better with other applications

It feels like there's so much crossover with their existing offerings, like SharePoint, Teams and Planner, I feel like they're just muddying the waters of their offerings in a desperate bid to kill the competition. Or maybe I just don't understand the USP here.

I've watched a few videos on Loops but I'm left more confused to how (if) I can utilize it
