Smart walkers and ones that remember parts of their past lives shouldn't have been dropped. It probably would have saved the show. For any interest in learning out about them. I just got tired and gave up after a while then heard Rick and Carol were offed and was like "why'd you kill off the main characters?" Hell Carol's actor moved closer just to film.
