The original show runner for the show wanted stronger walkers I believe, now those are being wrote off as early developments, cause it doesn’t make too much sense that they’d all develop at the same time, but it does make sense that now we’re gonna get a spike in them.

Good thing they didn’t ditch the running walkers from the earlier seasons. My theory is that an infected French scientist flew into Atlanta and started the first cluster of variant running walkers which spread throughout the city. That’s why we only saw running walkers when they were still in Georgia and for why we don’t see them in Virginia (Alexandria). However there are now running variants in Ohio (commonwealth). Also I theorized that France will be filled with runner variants

Most of these special walkers appear in early apocalypse, the brain and all the body systems were still fresh maybe that's the reason, walkers getting weaker and dumber by times make them rotten.
But there is a strange thing why some walkers still walking long after apocalypse with their skin, flesh and all the body parts are almost rotten but brain is still working, also the weird thing about burned walkers still walking too, the heat should cooked their brain.

What I wonder is if they think it's bad in America where the walking dead is based. Maybe the zombie we see at the 3:39 is how all the zombies act outside the walking dead we know. so Its worse everywhere else
Also maybe that's why he left so quick after shooting is because he knew how quick she would change.

Welp now we got a walker that can run fast jump fences and be intelligent when it comes to killing survivors, in season 11 ep 19 there was a walker that possessed all the traits of the walkers in season 1, picking up items, increased speed, increased intelligence, and increased strength, also they open doors, in short terms….. they are screwed
