This card is actually very attractive to me. The 1080p performance with max quality settings will stand at least for 5 years. That could also be translated into a great 1440p experience with DLSS enabled.

In Australia the 3080 is actually cheaper than a 2080 ti.
So not sure what the price of a 3070 will be, will have to wait until we get it in Aus.
