I'm still going with a 3070 over waiting for AMDs cards to release. It's cheaper and provides amazing FPS in games at 1440p, so no reason to get anything better or more expensive.

Seen other videos saying don’t buy the 3070 or the 3070 ti. I honestly don’t know what they are talking about. It’s like they are telling us don’t waste our money on this and buy the 3080 instead. I honestly would like to but the price was way over my budget and of course an overkill. The 3070 ti which I have, is just right for my needs. It does just as the same as the 3080 in my opinion only except the rates are little lower.

I just got an RTX 3070 for £450 from a mate who had to sell it (cost of living crisis) and it runs amazing with my r5 5600x and 1440p 165hz monitor. Runs basically every game maxed out well above 60fps. Ray tracing and DLSS are great too, huge upgrade from my aging 1070 Ti

I think 6800xt is the smart buy. 16 gigs and 3080 performance plus. All these cards with minimal Vram 8Gb - 10Gb keep us spending money every year or every other year. Even if you play 1080p, games would grow into the performance peaks eventually. So if your tired of paying so often, go big and coast for awhile. That's my plan, I'm gonna overshoot and take a break from the spending grind. my eyes are set on a 3080 tho, GDDR6X
