Aww Mobile World Congress. I don’t know about you, but this continues to be one of my favorite shows. Not sure it’s because of Barcelona, or the fact that we get to see a lot of the cool concepts and flagships that’ll define our year. This year was interesting because we got a lot of folding screens, 1-inch sensors, affordable laptops and tablets and even some weird teasers. Hitting on what Jaime said regarding the evolution of companies at MWC. True, there are new companies competing. However, none of these products, except from specific Motorola and Lenovo products, are innovative. The "competing" companies are just throwing out the same products at lower prices. Okay, sure, that's nice on the wallet but i want some new features like the rollables. Even with rollables, all these companies are heading in the same direction, so the direction of products are sort of boring too. Its a boring space to be honest...

I seriously would like to see these manufacturers compete with Samsung, Pixel and even iOS.

However right now it is the software that is killing these devices, and kinda some of the hardware.

If these companies would just start doing more innovation rather than chase the other guys I think we could catch the market up with better devices at a better price point

Plus these companies need to focus on something special not just trying to catch up with the other guys in front

Phones are boring now. I have a S22 Ultra and will not update until a dumbphone in 2026.

Back 10 years ago phones were fun. It was exciting to see what would be next. But now it’s if you seen One you have seen them all. There is no break through excitement. You can only get so excited when apple changes the notch and makes it an island and Samsung adds another camera. It’s nothing new and cool.

I really hope rollable is the future and the foldables are the awkward transition products that will go extinct soon.

i wish they would just stop putting cameras on the back of tablets.
selfie makes sense for calls but who the heck uses their tablet to take photos?
1. they suck compared to your phone.
2. you look stupid taking photos with it and
3, it would look so much more premium with a flush back.
plus, they could use that space for a descent subwoofer.
