i just found my hamster Prismo this morning. i'm so heartbroken. i had her for almost 3 years she meant the world to me. RIP Prismo i'll always remember you little love 🧡🕊

i just wanted to add an edit to this because it has some likes: it has been 9 months since Prismo passed and i feel a lot better, knowing that she is free, time does heal. i wanted to add PLEASE if you have a hamster get it a big enclosure, spend time with it, be gentle with it, give it veggies, let it roam around your room and explore (make sure it is safe to do so). i had a big tank for my hamster, she had a sand bath, 2 wheels, and 2 big underground tunnels. hamsters need space and need to explore, do not get them a measly metal cage from petco or petsmart. get a tank. you might notice them chewing on the metal bars- this means they want to escape and they are stressed out. the paint is also not good for them. it is a "caged" animal after all, so the least you can do is give it a big tank to have a bit more freedom and let it roam around a room for an hour or 2. i use to leave treats out for Prismo in my room so she could find them while roaming around. let them live as happy and free of a life as you can. and please do not let your young children have a hamster. hamsters should live 2-4 years, a few months means something happened to them mentally or physically that caused them to die. bugging them too much can also lead to stress and their hearts are so small it can easily kill them. like i said, be gentle, be kind, give them a space to roam, give them a tank as an enclosure, a sand bath, etc. .. and PLEASE do NOT let your kids give them a bath. love your little hammies like you would any other animal 🐹🧡

He was such a happy boy and the morning of the day he passed away, he was so energetic showing no signs of him dying. He was less than a year old and passed too soon.
