There are multiple signs and traits that can point towards a possible condition of autism spectrum disorder.

What is the most effective ways to see? It is to do an online autism test, The test allows you to create a more clear picture of the person’s needs and difficulties and will score them appropriately to show you some indication if the person is on the spectrum

Does anyone else feel like they showed a lot of symptoms when younger but because they went undiagnosed for so long they had to teach themselves body language and expressions? Or you only know body language and expressions from trauma? Even though it can be hard for you to express them yourself? Bc like. Yea.

Anyone else finds it super difficult to answer those questions? I feel like it totally depends on the situation, for example I like doing things on my own, but I also enjoy doing things with my friends, but I hate working in groups or spending time with strangers. So I can't really answer the first question cause it depends on the situation I'm in? And it just continues like that, I would agree to the statement in some situations and would disagree in other situations. I just can't find definite answers to any of those questions.

I’ve been thinking for a while now that I am autistic. Unfortunately I can’t tell anyone in my family because they would just dismiss me or think I’m crazy or making it up. I watched hours and hours of videos about autism, especially from girls on the spectrum and it’s always light a lightbulb went on in my head. I recognize sooo many aspects of my life when they talk about their experiences. I’ve written a 22 page, essay‘ with quotes from autistic people describing their life and matching my personal experiences to that. I’ve contacted 15 psychiatrist near me to try and get a diagnosis but so far many of them haven’t even responded or just say that they do therapy sessions but not diagnoses. It’s just so frustrating

Little Edit: im officially diagnosed with autism since December 2021 :) also I got my ADHD diagnosis in August 2022 😊

I’ve always thought that my boyfriend of 5 years is on the spectrum. He’s going for an assessment tomorrow, he’s struggled with OCD, dyslexia and anxiety along with agoraphobia for years since his early childhood. He’s done numerous AQ tests and always had high scores. He also has numerous motor tics that now seem like stimming especially when he’s excited or focused on something.

Hopefully we can give him all the support he needs and deserves.

I’m 38 years old now, In the late 90s maybe when I was 13 my parents took me to the physiology. My brother was diagnosed with “learning disability”, I was diagnosed as being “lazy” 😅 my oldest daughter, she’s 18, and at 5 years old she got diagnosed with autism. So I know how it is! I never payed attention to myself but with this new age and myself getting older i do notice things for myself.. I rock back and forward, when I eat something good I start bouncing in my seat (I’ve been doing that since my 20s) when I’m nervous I hold my hands together just a few more things… Thank you for your video! ❤ ❤❤❤

I've noticed small things about myself that has made me question whether I am autistic or not. Like clicking my middle finger and index finger together in stressful situations. Lots of noise bothers me or like repetitive noise. I like things done a certain way, if it's done a different way I feel so much anxiety. So I searched for videos and yours popped up. Very informative thank you for this video

I've taken all the available online tests and assessments there are and all signs point to autism! I want to get evaluated professionally but it is expensive here.

I learned vocabulary from movies as well. But the main thing that I learned well from movies is fluency of body language. And with a good sense of body language comes a good understanding of how to deal people or things properly.

The more I learn about autism, the more I learn about myself and the more sense my entire life makes. I don't need someone to tell me what I already know. That's the conclusion I've come to after taking this. It just fits 100% and I've never been so at peace. I feel like I've found the part of me that was missing. the part I couldn't figure out. Now I know why I do what I do and why I am the way I am. Trying to relearn how to stop living as a neurotypical and unmask as I always got in trouble for thing like stimming and special interests. Sigh...

I've taken one test just to do it not knowing anything about it.... I scored high on the test and then starting getting curious and doing research on it. Everything is spot on for me and has explained so much. I wish I could get some help, but that's not an option for me.

I'm newly diagnosed with ADHD combined type, have had severe anxiety, and depression for all my life. Lately I have been suspecting possible Autism. I just feel like somethings missing and while all of these fit, there are definitely things that fit with ASD as well. I have taken every test online, specifically Embrace Autism website, scoring high, and have yet to have my therapist take it seriously.

I’m 15 (almost 16 in 5 months) and I’ve had suspicions for the past 3-4 months that I might be somewhere on the spectrum because it seems to explain a lot about me. Though I’ve never had a therapist and I’m trying to get one soon, I brought up the topic of autism with my mom and she tried to disprove it about me saying “she had prenatal test done so there’s no possible way for me to be on the spectrum.” So I’m kinda just more disheveled and second guessing myself. But I hope this month I’m able to getter therapist I was told I’d get.

Edit: I’ve taken online assessments for being on the spectrum and the results all came out high, but my mother didn’t really believe it. She tries to disprove everything I tell her I might have and so if I’m able to have it done professionally (a mental evaluation as well as an autism evaluation) I’m hoping to get the support and help from people in my life.

(I’m currently typing at 4am so I might sound like gibberish lol)

This helped me reaffirm everything. Watching your videos got me to finally go to the doctors and now I am getting a referral for an autism assessment! I am so relieved. Now just got to wait the really long wait time. But thank you!

I am checking out this video and the test/assessment for myself. I am a 31 year old male in the US and ever since college, I have had past thoughts and observations of my behaviors and the ways that I have done things and processed them. I did an AQ test and came out as a 40 out of 50. I love resources, researching, and assessments.

My AQ score was 46, my EQ score was 9 and I passed through ADOS -- but right now I'm still arguing over the psychiatrist's conclusion that it's not ASD. It's tough getting a diagnosis even when all the pointers are there!

I’m on the spectrum. My nephew has it and I was curious to see if i had it too because he demonstrated a lot of the same characteristics I did when I was young. It explains a lot.

Wow thanks to share that video and this questions to see if we have it.
It answers my questions a lot, of why I’m like, the way I interact.
Thank you thank you!

I scored a 29 on this one. I feel like my score keeps going up. I don't know if I'll get diagnosed but these videos have helped me find some relief with all the tips and hacks. My loop earplugs are on the way and I also feel less alone hearing from others with similar struggles
