I QUIT! Avenged Sevenfold's 'A Little Piece of Heaven' was so disgusting, I quit halfway through.

My analysis of Avenged Sevenfold's "A Little Piece of Heaven" was too disgusting for me to continue halfway through, and so the scrapped version is uploaded to my Patreon community (Voice Crack tier and above), alongside tracks such as:
- A Perfect Circle's "Judith"
- Sleep Token's "Vore"
- Dimmu Borgir "The Serpentine Offering"
- Behemoth and Me and That Man
- Exclusive Interview with Nergal of Behemoth
- Silent Skies

With more to come! I may start doing a regularly scheduled analysis video on top of these "Dark Vault" offerings. We'll see!

"idk, my first reaction is, gross.." lmao I think that's exactly what avenged sevenfold was going for when they wrote this one lol.

Some songs don't need positive spins, some songs need to accepted the way they are.

The song was specifically written to be a Halloween song and it ended up being one of their more popular songs.

Don’t let it discourage you from the band as a whole, this song is an anomaly in their catalog

It's a creepy/shocking narrative (intentionally) but honestly it's a great song - and even if you hate it, I encourage you to give other Avenged Sevenfold songs a listen

People are taking this song way too seriously. It’s a song-story. It’s not real, it doesn’t encourage anything, it’s art! The song was created to be on a Halloween EP, which later got scrapped, and this one song made it to their main Self-Titled album.

Jesus christ. It’s a song. Not a political speech preaching to the public that this is how one should behave. Ridiculous

It's meant to be gross, and absurd and silly. It's a funny song imo. It's not meant to be serious.

It’s actually extremely upsetting to me that people continue to push this song to reactors. I get the shock value of the song, but many high profile reactors simply don’t do A7X anymore because this song was either their first or second listen to the band. There is a rabbit hole of A7X songs that is so worthwhile, and they never get put in front of people because people are obsessed with shocking people and push this song. As musically brilliant as it is, it’s incredibly off-putting and I don’t blame people for not liking it.

Danny Elfman: "I like to write cool, spooky, Halloween-type songs that are a little edgy."
Avenged Sevenfold: "Hold our bone saw."

"I really always knew that my little crime, would be cold that's why I bought a heater for your thighs"

Yeah... it's a song about psychotically abusive romance, murder, necrophilia, cannibalism, demonic influence, and suicide. There is no happy spin to put on that. They just wrote it for shock value and fun. They're punk rockers.

The fact that it also turned out to be musically ingenius and performed expertly are just perks.

Lol, I warned you all to not skip straight to "Little Piece of Heaven". Now we'll never see another Avenged Sevenfold reaction 😢

I was sad that so many people suggested this for your second song by them. I had a feeling you wouldn't really care for it lol. Their catalogue is very wide and varied though, so don't let this deter you from more of their music. Another one of their long songs you will likely really enjoy is "save me".

the behind the scenes of this song is always so funny. They were having a lot of fun, it was not to be taken serious, just a halloweenish song

This song is such a masterpiece. It's gruesome and fucked up on the surface, but it tells the story of two people in love who end up hearting each other and "tearing each other's hearts out, " but they keep coming back together. The first two parts of the songs tells the story of one hurting the other. In the song, they only abuse each other once each, but we can assume that this is a cycle between their relationship. During the part where he's pleading with her and she's telling him off, we can assume that maybe they had one big fight where the guy did something that crossed the line. He's pleading for forgiveness and they make up. In that reconciliation, they realized that they love only each other, want to marry one another, and commit to working through their issues. "If it's not enough, try again, and again..." encapsulates this sentiment. Through all the shit, they still love each other so much that they committed to working through the toxicity that they each bring to their relationship, regardless as to what the people around them think. Regardless of it's meaning, it's still a masterpiece;

I'd suggest you to listen to "Fiction". You've done "So far away" witch was a tribute to their drummer. Fiction was the REV's last written song before he passed away. With that in mind, the lyrics make so much sense.

If you ever get back around to them, I SO highly suggest Afterlife. It's the song that really got me into them, and it's amazing in every way. In my mind, it's the perfect song to use introduce someone to them and showcases all of their talents so well.

It's theatrical, fun, and quirky. It's not supposed to be positive or have a profound impact. It just is what it is.

Even if Elizabeth criticizes a video, she still remains respectful! I like it, good attitude!
