Where Does Our Soul Go When We Die?

Q: If our soul is made up of the spirit and the body, where does our soul go when we die if the spirit goes back to God and our body goes in the ground?

The Scriptures say that we are made in His image. Three bear record in Heaven and 3 bear record on earth. The Spirit returns to God who gave it, the body teturns to dust and the soul can only go to one of 2 places, Heaven or Hell. Moses, Solomon, and Paul spoke of these things which are mentioned in Gen. 1:26-27; Ecclesiastes 12:7; I Thesalonians 5:23. Jesus spoke of the soul and its destination plentifully, i.e., Matthew 10:28.

The soul is not "made up of" the body and spirit. We are created in the likeness of God. We are triune, body, soul and spirit. When we die the body returns to the dust from which it came. The spirit returns to God who gave it and your soul is in sheol. A place for the dead. Either in paradise a place of comfort with Christ or you are kept in torment until the day of judgement.

I don't think the soul goes to heaven or hell immediately and I think that will happen on the day Jesus Christ returns to the earth

We don’t sleep, there is no waiting period, there is no purgatory. The Teaching of soul sleep or some kind of unconscious existence afterlife is contrary to the scripture and it’s a lie. The Lord taught that there is conscious eternal punishment in hell not sleep.

I'M CURRENT RESEARCHING ABOUT THE SOUL WITH I BELIEVE TO BASICALLY BE OUR ( BEING / HUMAN BEING) FEELINGS, BODY, ORGANS, CONSCIENCE. A ( LIVING SOUL ) YET...
