I am surprised, Volvo came back to the their reason and realised that 100% electric offer has no chance for success. I hope their new models will get something more than 4 cylinders. I am hoping for XC60 and V60/90 Cross Country.

This is what you have to do when you’re not selling enough BEVs… But I am happy they’re doing it. I too have done a lot of miles in a few XC90s over the years and it is a very, very competent car that to this day looks very good. Will be interesting to see what drivelines they will offer. T8 would be nice :)

I just experienced the XC90 for the first time. Drove the hybrid for a weeklong road trip around Spain and Portugal. I loved the design, comfort and relaxed, care free semi autonomous driving experience. Design, materials, and seat comfort were top notch. The only thing I would have liked to improve were: wind noise around front windows and mirrors; mirrors placed too far back; AC fan was loud. Would have liked a few more physical controls but overall the vehicle was fantastic for a rad trip and I can imagine it being a drama free way to commute. 9/10

Hi Kris, I can't wait till weds for the revel, I'm pleased they have decided to do this upgrade. I bought the Hybrid XC90 last April (ordered Nov 22) and I'm really pleased with it, but I have a few frustrations!!
I was told before ordering that they would be putting back the function on the steering wheel, to change from speed limiter to cruise control. However it didn't have it, I was then told it would come as an OTA update, still waiting!!!
From your photo of the infotainment screen, it looks like we can control heating, etc, while maps open, I think? Hopefully they will have put in a bigger battery for greater range on electric?
I also need the ICE, as I tow a caravan, as full electric is still a long way away for this.
Only two days to wait, hope you enjoy your day there at the launch and I'll look forward to your update of the launch, David

You perfectly put in words what I couldn't get out of my head since I saw the pictures: That new grille sure looks good, but it doesn't look Volvo. I mean ever since the 240, there has been that si called 'waterfall' design with vertical bars. And I really loved the interpretation of that design that came with the previous face-lift of the XC90. That concave waterfall grille of the current model just looks gorgeous. And niw, they take it away again. I definitely need my time to get used to the new look...

I'm a die hard Volvo fan. Still have mine from 2008, custom made. Love it and will never understand why they changed the design so much. Looks nothing like a Volvo anymore.
