XC90 has always been gorgeous and I do like that it did not change much since 2016. Volvo, unlike other brands don’t do stupid facelifts. They don’t need to, their design is timeless, elegant and clever.
Therefore I was really afraid that this refresh would be… unnecessary. But it turns out it is absolutely beautiful. I watched live the reveal this morning. I love it. Please keep it for another 10 years or more ! Such a nice refresh.

PS: at 0:45 are they doing a U-turn on a solid yellow line? 😅

I recently bought an XC60 T8 and experienced the essence of Volvo firsthand. The XC90 T8 amplifies this very essence of Volvo. It doesn't need too many changes; it just needs to stay true to itself. Those who appreciate it will naturally love it.

I’m on my second T8 in 5 years and love it. Current one is Denim blue, ultimate, bright. I upgraded my R design because the 2023 one received the high voltage battery upgrade. I do understand that they can’t add more battery capacity without extensive modifications to the frame. But this means, at least for me, it’s not worth changing to this version, just because of cosmetic changes. If the T8 is still going to stick around for a while it does need better electric range to keep up with German rivals. I get maximum 35 miles (in summer) and that just isn’t competitive any longer. Still love the car as a whole, but this is just a stopgap. And no, I won’t be going all electric with EX90 either.
