To my eyes it looks better than the EX90.
It has to do with the front grill I believe.

I’m so happy they still believe in the classic XC90. It’s such a good vehicle. I think they decided to not give this car a bigger battery as it could have made the EX90 less popular, because some people maybe wouldn’t buy an EV if there’s a 100+ km EV range PHEV.

The front end is absolutely beautiful! The rear end feels like a regression to older looking rearlights. Regardless, this is objectively a good looking car.

I think this is much better than ex90. But ofc it changes to anyone. Maybe multimedia display would be a little bit shorter and climate controls could be physical

Buttons. Actual buttons for the mirrors. Independent switches for both the front and rear windows.. True luxury! Not needing to use the touchscreen for opening the glove box. We had the launch T8 XC90, we currently own an XC60 and EV9. The more I see of the EX90 and comparing it this gen, the more I think how much of a step backwards this is from Volvo. The Korean manufacturers will probably be also replacing my XC60 when the time comes.

The previous dashboard with the screen integrated was better looking. This one looks like an aftermarket screen, they should’ve made the effort tu suit the dashboard to the new display.

This takes me back. The first Thomas video I ever saw was of the original XC90. He wasn’t keen on that one’s steering wheel buttons either. 😊

It is actually great that they decided not to update PHEV setup as it is the best on the market in my opinion. Making battery bigger will make this car heavier so what’s the point. Oh and EV range is more between 70-80 km rather than 50. I am driving t8 in different conditions and I think the lowest I got was something around 64 km.

Incredible that Volvo's interior (& even somewhat exterior) design principles have remained largely the same throughout the range for nearly a decade! I was expecting this car to be a view of what to come with Volvo's future interiors including some radical changes, but it's still very similar.
