I have a 2002 LS 430, the 3UZ V8 has never had any issues, save for a radiator leak once, that wasn't even the engine proper. Over 441, 000 km now, still going strong.

Excellent review. I've been driving my 2008 Toyota 4Runner for 14 years without any problems at all.

My original 2009 Mazda 3 Sport 2 litre just passed 573, 000 today burns no oil still pulls good, 700 kilometres per tank( lower in the winter months. My wife just bought a new Mazda CX 5 non turbo Sport model, great fuel economy! Your videos were helpful in the CX 5 purchase, Cheers!

I own a 2011 Rav 4WD Limited with the 3.5 V6. It has every option available for the 11 year model.
I only have 103K miles on it and plan on driving it to 200K miles.
I retired early so now I only drive 5-6K miles a year.
I might hit the 200K mile mark by the time I’m 80 years old.

I have a 1998 Toyota Camry LE with the 2.2 4cyl. engine that has over 329k miles, and it still runs smoothly. I don't know why Toyota stopped making that engine, but is a dream engine that uses a timing belt: I last changed it at 269k miles, so I'm thinking of changing it again when I get to 340k miles.

To sum up: Japanese cars and Japanese engineering designs are quite reliable. From your listing above: Mazda, Honda/Acura, and Toyota/Lexus are way to go. Thanks for such an informative video, and I’m extremely happy with my Toyota RAV4 as it’s on your list.

I have an old 2003 f250 with the infamous 7.3. 300k and just as reliable as it was when driven off the lot. Arguably the most reliable diesel powered pickup ever made. The truck I own is a perfect example. 90+ percent of those miles is pulling well over 13k pounds on a goose neck trailer. So far the rear differential and turbo have been rebuilt, and the 4r100 transmission as well. Doing a 1000 mile road trip this Tuesday in it, and I know I can still trust it more than any newer vehicle.

Anything in a Honda or Toyota. ✅

The Civic, Accord, Camry and Corolla. My neighbours Honda has Over 500, 00Kms runs perfect. Nothing major breaks. Incredible

I’d like to say that Acura also uses the 3.5 liter v6 that Honda built for their SUVs and cars. Same thing goes for the 4 cylinder engines. These are also great cars that have been very reliable.

Spot on bro. These are newer vehicles. My daily is an 2003 2.0 Toyota Rav4 with a standard transmission. Runs like a top at 186, 000 miles.

4.3 Chevy in my 97 ZR2 Blazer had 336000 miles on it. Still ran like new. Same oil pressure, same gas mileage. Only thing negative was it had a bit of an oil pan leak. The thing that killed it was I installed an O'Reilies "premium" thermostat in while doing maintenance. A couple weeks later, that thermostat stuck closed an overheated the crap out of the engine and blew a head gasket. I still have this vehicle and hopefully will fix it. Great vehicle.

I have a 17 year old Honda Element with 178, 000 miles on its 2.4 ltr 4 cyl engine. Completely trouble free and all original except the serpentine belt was replaced at 140, 000 miles. Spark plugs were replaced at 100, 000 miles. Even the hoses and coolant are original. My mechanic says coolant and hoses are still just fine. Always used Pennzoil 5w-30 full synthetic oil.

I wasnt too excited when I saw the power figures of the new HR-V, but when I saw its a K20, I was like, nevermind, that thing will run FOREVER!

My 2012 Mazda 6 now reached 120k miles still runs without any engine nor mechanical issue and maintains decent gas mileage.

The Toyota 1.5 4cyl is very reliable, efficient, and trouble free. Also, it is produced in very large volume.
