do i have to be in fastboot mode? did u keep holding volume up button until putting in the usb cable and blue light became lit? When does light become blue and when does it become green? P.S: I've already unlocked bootloader. I did it with no prior knowlegde, only trial and error and watched tutorials. Meaning, I dont have any idea what is happening/what i should do

When using Minimal ADB it tells me (<waiting for any device>). Use a Sony Xperia X with the USB cable indicated in blue. With the option "developer" activated.

Hi, i have xperia xz1 softbank and when i m going for ubl, sony website shows this (Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.) my device says no, so now is there any other way to install twrp in device?

Hello, thanks for the video. I have a couple of questions. First of all, let me say that I'm not very tech savvy but I'm trying to learn as I go.
Yesterday (after lots of trial and error) I was able to install Lineage OS 15.1 (from Stock Android 6.1 Marshmallow) on my Sony Xperia Z2. Before Installing Lineage OS 15.1, I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP Recovery and rooted the phone using SuperSU. After the installation of Lineage OS 15.1 it seems that I lost Root (at least according to the RootChecker App) because now it now says that I don't have Root. Of course, I still have the TWRP recovery installed.
I would like to know if it's ok to root the phone as it is (right now) using Magisk or would there be any problems?
I ask because I think that I need to install Magisk, since I read that it helps to hide Root from banking apps and other important apps that I NEED to run on my phone for work/business... and that are not able to Run as of right now. They tell me that the phone has Root or whatever and they cannot run bla bla bla bla...

So do you reckon if I install Magisk this can help in my situation?

Or Should I got back to the Stock Andorid ROM (Marshmallow 6.1)? :'(

Or perhaps if I install Stock Android 8.1 that would help circumvent the SafetyNet?

Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra here.
I installed TWRP and Magisk without problems. It's rooted and all working fine except when I try to boot into TWRP. Everytime I reboot the phone I get a black screen with "Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader". Only way to get to TWRP is if I fastboot TWRP using ADB. Any solution? Thanks.
