I went through a staffing agency and interviewed with their client, got the job, almost done with the background check except for international education check which takes longer and it seemed I was set to start in 1 week or so. But I got the call that they had somebody internal interested in the position and decided to go with that person. Logically, I understand why they would choose the person over me but right then all I felt was shock, anger, betrayal, depressed and hopeless. Every now and then I'd cry. Getting back up and not taking it personal is so hard.

I always continue applying for jobs even after accepting an offer for this very reason.

Check this out: I was originally told that they were giving the position to another candidate. Then a week later they called me, said there was a mistake and made an offer on the spot. I asked for 24 hours to review.

They called back the next day and rescinded the offer. Talk about an emotional roller coaster!!!

Last month I was hired as Quantity Surveyor work from home set up from Australia, very good compensation package, I got into 2 rounds of interview with last round a panel interview of 3 engineers it went so well that they want me to start asap and after 5 hours the recruiter says that I got the job and the day after I signed the job offer and it will commence in a couple of weeks, so happy. But after 2 weeks I got a gut feeling something is wrong with no scheduled meeting etc. and yesterday the recruiter says the company changed their business needs and decided to rescind the offer. It hits me hard was out of my control, still in shocked because it's my very first time to encounter this. I need to get back on my feet and get the right and best incoming job.

I got an official offer. I asked for more, and they said no and went in a different direction. I was shocked, they didn't even counter and give a final offer.

If I were a hiring manager, I’d do a background check before even giving an offer so people don’t get excited for nothing.

I was given a job offer but asked for an extension to make a decision. I was waiting to hear back from a couple of companies. They granted me the extension and asked to respond EOD Monday the following week. After hearing back from the other companies I decided to accept the initial offer before EOD. They did not respond to any of my calls, texts or emails. The following day they send me an email stating that they rescind the offer

I just had a job rescinded they caused me to quit another job I just started which they knew. They claimed medical on them and closing company. I don't believe them. I learned to not trust companies or people.

This happened to me twice. The first time the job was canceled. For the second one, I asked for feedback. I'm really curious. I didn't have the best relationship with my past employer but I don't THINK that is enough to say no, or may it was IDK

I was told by a company that I passed all my interviews, but there will be a delay in my job offer since the hiring manager was on bereavement leave… now after waiting again, I was told that they are experiencing some technical difficulties with their requisitions, should I still wait for a job offer from this company or should I go back to job hunting? Please answer me, I need your help 🤧

I was selected for a position, but my tentative job offer was rescinded - due to budgetary constraints... I just don't understand why they post a job they can't fill 😞

I think my offer might be rescinded because I cannot become a notary in my state… they never mentioned it in their job description or the two Interviews I had with them! I already put in my two weeks notice for them I’m pretty bummed out 😢

Thanks for posting this video! Great advice!

I have a second interview for a company I used to work as a contractor for about 11 years ago. I was let go from that contract with no warning and never given a reason. So I don't know if it was for performance or something else.

Anyways, I applied at that company for a position in a different department. I asked HR if there was an issue that I contracted and was let go before. The HR person said no and that there is no record of me working there because I was a contractor. She said that there wouldn't be any record of me because I wasn't a permanent employee. But I wonder if being let go is a bad look.

I got called for a second interview and was wondering if this would be an issue moving forward with this company and if they may rescind an offer based on my past experience with them. Any info or advice you can give me would be appreciated!

I am at the point where I am waiting for the job offer. I am done with the pre-employment medical requirements. But, after that, I am not getting feedback. I don't know how many weeks I should wait for me to know if the offer has been rescinded.

Companies need to stop rescinding offers due to bad credit. This is just a form of financial discrimination, and it has no bearing on weather a person can do the job.
