The reason why your big volume control knob doesn't "work" for you is because you haven't plugged anything into your main outs and are just using the front jack for headphones, which are controlled independently by its headphones' knob at the top right. I'm sure the knob is working on your interface, it's just that there are no monitors to control the volume of plugged into your interface...

To get the big knob to work
You have to connect the cables to the back of the M AUDIO AIR L & R straight to the back of the speakers L & R, I do it before thts how it works, but I don't know the name of the cables, my cables stop working
And I'm try to get back one but don't know the name

Thanks bro for ur tutor .. but, you're using a MacBook, and I noticed on the M-Audio website that they don't provide drivers for macOS. So, which driver did you use? Or is it that you don't need a driver for the MacBook?

I bought the M air 192/4 I downloaded the drivers okay and the device is showing up on my laptop and is powered on it is also showing on my desktop as a small window but I don't know what to do next don't understand the set up it came with software programmes I know how to set up my guitar amplifier but that's about all !! im having distortion with any audio thats *not* my microphone... everything sounds airy, harsh, and far away. when i swap to my pc audio everything sounds clean. i dont even know what to search to fix the issue anymore

Hi, thanks for the video! I wonder if it is possible to control the volume level with apple keyboard. Many external audio interfaces has volume controls greyed out on MacOS. I wonder if that is the case for m-audio as well? Googled a bit but can't find something about it, would really appreciate if you could answer!
