M-Audio Air 192|8 - New Recording Interface! Overview & Set up

So after 5 years my Focusrite recording interface has finally packed in so it was time for an upgrade! So I've picked up the awesome looking M-Audio Air 192|8 recording interface!

This thing looks awesome & is super simple to set up and use so I thought I'd just do a quick unboxing, overview & run through of getting up up & running.

For anyone interested or curious - I plan to get some additional speakers for mixing purposes which I will hook up to the outputs of this interface so I can easily switch between the speakers, which is why I didn’t hook my current ones up to it 🤟

I'm a total newbie at this, so I have a question if anyone has time to answer. I'm thinking about getting this M-Audio 192/8 because I want to use my guitar pedals as outboard effects - from my DAW (probably Reaper) through the M-Audio 192/8, into my pedal board, then back into the 192/8. Is this a feasible workflow? I'm thinking of getting the 192/8 because I'm guessing I need the extra outputs so I can have my speakers connected AND have the output going to the pedals: does that sound right?

Hey I bought the same interface (AIR 192|8) and can you tell me how can I record my mix with it? ???(also how to connect my pioneer DJM900nx to it?) I conected the AIR 192|8 with USB to my laptop but how can i connect to my mixer? I should use the RCA / AUX 3-4 channel? I want to record my mix with audacity!

I just got mine and I was testing it and I have a problem. The Mic/Line control knobs have to be at the maximum (10) to work, but at the same time it reaches the Clip level which has too much noise and If I lower the knob to 9 and below it doesn't work at all. The green light doesn't turn on. For the record, I used 3 different microphones (Shure Beta58A, Shure SV200 and Audio-Tecnica ATR1200) and I have the same issue. So I know it's not the microphone. Did I get a defective unit ?

Hi, thanks for the video! I wonder if it is possible to control the volume level with apple keyboard. Many external audio interfaces has volume controls greyed out on MacOS. I wonder if that is the case for m-audio as well? Googled a bit but can't find something about it, would really appreciate if you could answer!
