I grow ginger on my farm here in Maine. We don't have any scarring on ours. All vibrant and colorful. Most ginger you see in stores is from asiatic countries, it develops the scarring in transportation.

OH spoons are incredibly convenient i always have 2-3 in my chest or belly pocket when working cause I don't be double dipping also for emergency bottle opening

Cook some unusual food, can you cook some Easterneuropean (balkans especially), Greek, Northafrican, Centralasian (you did little Middleeastern and Chinese, Japanese, Southeastasian, Indian butyou can do it again) these cuisines are rich.
