Carol did this girl a favor. She thought zombies were her friends and killed her own sister. She was better off dead then alive.

For those who don’t know, Lizzie killed her little sister because she thought the “walkers”(zombies) were her friends and wanted to show carol that her (dead) sister was a friend even though she was a zombie

This definitely hurt Carol more than Lizzie in more ways than one! Lost her daughter at Hershels farm, her friends dying in various ways from walkers or other survivor's. And when she and Tyreese thought they could help Lizzie and her sister, she sees in true horror how damaged Lizzie had become and knew she couldnt be trusted around the others.

Whats more disturbing about this scene is that Lizzie is more concerned about pointing her gun at Carol and not about killing her sister. Lizzie was to far gone and the only way to survive was to kill her. Id hate to imagine the last seconds Mika had to endure before dying, the betrayal of her sister killing her and Mika not fighting back because Mika couldnt hurt a human.

explanation
lizzie was convinced the zombies could be friendly and she could be their friends. before this she was being chased by a zombie and carol, protecting her killed the zombie which made lizzie mad because they were “playing”. after that carol and tyreese were walking through the woods talking about carols dead abusive husbands jokes when they made it to where they could see lizzie. lizzie was standing over her sister mica’s dead body which she killed. when carol got closer lizzie pointed the gun at carol begging her to wait till she turned (to a zombie). they tricked lizzie to go with tyreese into the house when carol took care of her before she turned. later in the episode carol takes lizzie outside and thinks carol is mad at her (hence the apology) but carol tells her to pick flowers for mica. carol kills her because she is not trusted to be around humans anymore or on her own. she only apologized for pointing the gun not for the real problem because she thought she was doing something good.

This was the moment I realized that Carol has the strength to be the leader if need be, this show has literally made cry again and again
