Computer Network - Default Gateway Explained

In this video I'll explain about Network Gateway and Default Gateway:

In most situations we configure default gateway on our PCs as 192.168.1.1, but actually we can add more gateways to the computer or network, depending on how you want to direct your traffic to different destination networks.

to create a new gateway is to connect to networks like for example Im at my house in my city and my brotheer in his house, so I want to connect both of our networks so then I would need to use a gateway ? and what IP should I use in that case? the public ip of my brother or what ? thanks

Hi I wanna ask when I ping my default gateway and my ping when from 5ms for 10 seconds then become 1090ms isit my default gateway problem or my Network card?

We have a bizhub printer that have IP of 10.4.x.x and gateway of 10.4.x.x, the PCs w/c have IPs of 10.4.x.x works fine, and some PCs w/c have IPs of 10.100.x.x can't print, but it can ping the printer's IP. Can they all print if I change the gateway to 10.100.x.x instead of 10.4.x.x?

My office network is for example IP 80.155.15x.165 and I want to connect to a Router with a M2M sim card. IP 80.552.18x.125 (behind the router is a PLC that I want to Acces from my PC on office network. Can I also use Default gateway for this? (IP's above are a example, but my point is that it's not something with 192.168.x.x)

a quick question: when they write down the IP Subnet mask, sometimes they write 255.255.255.0, but other times /24, are they the same? thanks
