It works but the shooting distance required at that focal length distorts the near/far perspective of your face and the low camera POV shoots up your nose. Also with a full face view key lighting from my side makes a symmetrical face look asymmetrical. Try shooting from 8-9ft with for more natural ‘seen by eye’ facial rendering with camera slightly above eye level with a centered ‘butterfly’ pattern with key directly above lens axis and fill just below and compare the results.
