I just got this camera and took it on a little vacation and I’m blown away how good it is. ESPECIALLY in good light. Really impressive. I’m 52, and the last video camera I had was a MINI DV, so this is a huge step up. I’m also a professional photographer so I can use my DSLR, but my favorite thing about the ZV1 is the size!!! It’s a stealth camcorder! Thanks for these great tips!

I film with movie mode in shutter priority to control double frame rate. I keep the rest on auto and use the "blurry background" and the ND filter to adjust to chaning light conditions. I find that very easy and convenient. I understand that Manual has its place in a studio - outside though I dont want to mess with the exposure triangle all the time. Good vid
