Thanks for the tutorial..for those confused about ip address, put your machine's current ip address (i set mine to a static ip address through the router so the IP will always be the same) and for the gateway, check any of your connected devices (wifi etc...and you can identify the exact gateway ip address...)

Every single time I try to get Proxmox onto a flashdrive with Rufus, it partitions it into 3 drives then goes unseen in Windows file explorer. Computer thinks it is still connected but not readable. I've tried this on 3 different flashdrives. I also can't get it to work with Etcher. In Rufus, I never get a DD option to flash it.

I mainly work with HP Proliant servers & configure either RAID 1 or 5 depending on the goals/needs of the project. I wanted to ask if there's any danger in using the entire hard disk capacity like in VMWare ESXi deployments when installing the Proxmox operating system? Or can I reserve one hard disk slot for the O.S. & use the rest (configured with RAID) for the installation & configuration of virtual machines?
