My dad had an 80s version of that. Fast forward ten years: Melanoma. Took a big crater out of his head, skin graft from his leg. But he got to live.

Hahaha is this 2002 all over again? I thought we’ve moved on from tanning lights and beds. I was a teenager in the late 90’s early 00’s and really regret all of the tanning bed use I did. It was super trendy at the time and they advertised them as not being as bad as the sun because of the narrower UV spectrum they used…. Turns out that was a lie. Just as bad if not worse because of the intensity and frequency of use.

I used to use sun lamps when I was a teenager, and now I'm an esthetician!! So damaging for the skin. I've had dermatologists recommended sun lamps for acne as well. Called "light therapy." It's a temporary fix with long-term damage!!!
