Best to be ready. I was flying into a class C and at 40 miles was told to expect visual. Got 10 miles out and clouds were at 100 feet above minimum.

I love that you showed briefing the approach 50nm out. I'll admit, right now all my instrument flying is in a simulator as I am waiting to get my plane in the avionics shop for the panel upgrade. So, with that said, the technique I use in briefing the approach is similar to the "Where would I land if I lost power" VFR engine out game. How this looks is, once in cruise flight, about every 20nm or so, I'll look and the approach chart and brief it. Trying real hard to stay way ahead of the airplane.. The production value of your videos only get better MzeroA!!!

If I have time I try to X-Plane it first. Always good to be prepared.
