Mam, how is the scope of Bioinformatics in India currently and how would it be in future?

Hello Mam, please guide me for a decision making. I'm an MCA graduate. And I love Biology, especially being graduated in IT, very lately I discovered this Bioinformatics, and then about Computational Biology. I'm thinking about writing GATE exam in 2024 and move on to Bioinformatics or Comp Bio. But I'm little confused should I go for MTech or PhD in the same. Will there be any bright scope in this field, if I opt for PhD? I found out that IISc offers a PG program in "Computation and Data Sciences", which provides specialization in Computational Biology. Please look into it and reply to me, like what would be the best for me to go for an MTech or PhD?

I have B.S in Computer Science from U.S and Java Application Developer experience of around 9yrs. How do I get a job as Bioinformatics Analyst with little knowledge of DNA/RNA sequencing. How to get the started in this field as a fresher? Will I require to do M.S in Bioinformatics and can a B.S in Comp Sci undergrad get admission in M.S program in Bioinformatics? Won't it be less expensive option to do online program from India's university because I will be spending $10, 000 for 1 yr here in U.S whereas if I chose any online program in India, it will be cost less maybe $1000 for 1 yr. How to connect with researchers and scientists who are working in this area(For example, Early cancer research, genomics.. Etc) and contribute/assist them in research?
