African Traditional Medicine Day | Reliance on traditional remedies: Dr. Zulumathabo Zulu

Today is African Traditional Medicine Day. The WHO estimates that around 80% of Africans rely heavily on traditional remedies for their basic health needs. It has called on governments, research institutions, practitioners, and the private sector to strengthen collaboration around traditional medicine research and production. So are traditional remedies being given the status they deserve? To discuss we're joined by Dr. Zulumathabo Zulu who is Research Scientist and Director, Madisebo University Research Institute.
