Traditional healers commemorated Africa's Traditional Medicine Day in the Eastern Cape

The Eastern Cape Health Department and traditional healers commemorated Africa's Traditional Medicine Day in Ntabankulu.

The World Health Organisation recommends that traditional medicine be integrated into the Health system, as more than 80 percent of people from African countries depend on it.

Health MEC Nomakhosazana Meth, says students are being trained in Cuba, and facilities have opened in other countries to strengthen the use of traditional medicines in health departments.
