North West moves to recognise traditional healers

You could soon be able to consult your traditional health practitioner at public health facilities in the North West. Plans are at an advanced stage for the North West health department and Traditional health Practitioners to forge a working relationship. Provincial Health authorities say it will help reduce the queues for chronic patients at local health facilities. Traditional healers and the Health department had a joint celebration of African Traditional Medicine Day at Vryburg in the North West.
