How to be saved from hell

1. The bad news. we are sinners. (Romans 3:23.) We deserve to be punished in hell for our sins.

2. The good news. Jesus Christ who is Gods son died on the cross for all your sins. He was buried & rose again to give you eternal life as a free gift. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 6:23.)

3. How am I saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31)

4. Once saved, always saved.
Jesus said in John 6:47.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

The purpose of the sermon on the Mount is Jesus is trying to tell us we cannot save ourselves. You cannot keep the law. Perfect righteousness is required and the only one who is righteous is Jesus so trust in Him.

The law is there to bring a person to utter despair when they realize its impossible for them to keep it. So they realize they need a Saviour. If a person thinks they need to keep the law then they should receive as much law as possible.

Which should condemn those that brag about not committing fornication, or m*sterbation … but in the same breath admit to struggling with lust… whether you physically commit the act or not doesn’t matter, your heart/thoughts have already condemned you under the law. This is why “try your best” with the law is futile.

Really good explanation. I read the sermon on the mount for years thinking it was for the Christian life. Literally decades! Nearly every Christian I knew had such a confusing mix of Law and Grace, myself included. I never ever felt settled or at complete rest, as a result.
Now since Grace has been clarified to me, I can see the Law, through and through! If people are truly honest about the demands of Law they will be humbled and run to Jesus and His immeasurable Grace. This is the only way to resolve this crisis. Negotiating terms of Peace.
Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. By whom we have access unto this Grace in which we stand and rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God. ❤❤❤

You did pretty good brother! What I've learned since I've came to Grace and been saved is that Matthew Mark and Luke is not talking to us at all it's talking to a certain group of individuals, we can read the synoptic gospels through the lenses of grace, but we do not get our doctrine from them.

Love your break downs brother. Thanks for this, just had this conversation a couple days ago. I’ve been seeing the Law like the knowledge of good and evil and my responsibility to do so, no hope there. Only in Christ.

Jesus said a parable after that prayer, with the talents that the slave owed to the king. The thousand talents are paid by Christ, so we are not under king's wrath anymore even if we don't forgive the few debts of our fellow slave. That's my explanation...
