The Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the follow-up to Google's first foldable phone, has arrived. And as sequels go, this one could be quite good. Unveiled at the Made by Google event alongside the Pixel 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL, the new book-style foldable has been overhauled in nearly every way, including its name.

Of all the companies releasing foldables, Google has the trickiest path to navigate. The 9 Pro Fold has to address and improve on the original Fold's numerous shortcomings while being competitive with Samsung, OnePlus, Honor and Xiaomi.

And from what Google showed me, I think it has a good chance of doing both.

I still have the Samsung fold 4 and it's all good but i don't know if i'll ever get a fold again, they are so expensive...

Been waiting for this one. Tried many foldables last year and most had their quirks and faults so I returned them. Z Fold 6 looks promising but I kind of want that 8in inner display. I hope battery performance is up to par, for Pixels usually struggle there.

I dont like how google designed the front screen. Rounded screen on top of a square design.. puts me off, looks glued on.

But it doesn't have the same camera hardware as the Pixel 9 Pro/Pro XL. At this point, it should just be called Pixel Fold 2.

I get it *looks* nicer, but I really don't like how much Google rounds the corners of their screens. There's also no reason for this phone not to have the same camera setup as the regular 9 Pro, especially for what you're paying.

Already ordered mine, but I'm a bit skeptical about the design coming from the OnePlus Open. The bezel on the hinge side seems huge on the 9 Pro Fold compared to the Open. Hope it won't bother me...

That thing is huge folded up. Hope my fold which has a great compactness never breaks

I like the satellite sos feature with no cell connection needed . Love the picture editing tools and add me feature . Glad to hear the screen brightness has improved
