An 18 year old is not legally allowed to drink alcohol in US. Student was drunk. 18 year old is not legally allowed to enter in night club he was trying to enter. Man this is not Delhi. Total fault of parents and their upbringing, the young man lost his life.

I had a similar situation in Detroit... I asked a person who was running a motel, for help. He let me stay for 1 HR. He asked me to stay for more time, but I had to leave, he gave me some warm water. Gave me gloves to keep my self warm. He was a man from Pakistan. He was very kind and good hearted person.

His friends went into the club and left him outside? My crew, someone got kicked out and we all left. Those guys are no friends.

Cant blame the nightclub for not giving entry..he was underage for drinking. Its very sad for the parents this loss.

If denied entry in Night Club, why he didn't go home or to hostel?

"froze to death after being denied entry into US nightclub" This is a wrong head line to this story. I am sorry about his death but he was an adult responsible for his own actions. Seems like an unfortunate event.

They aren't his friends. No friends would ditch each other like this.

Choices made by such bright students of Urbana-Champaign, taking underage to night club, ditching 18 yr old buddy out & alone, not driving him back to his hostel : WHOSE FAULT ? Not that of USA.

Do you have any idea how much litigation that nightclub could get if they let him in? They would get destroyed by fines. This guy was an adult and he is responsible.

Misleading title. Shame on such channels.

He went for a night-out in the extreme cold.
He is responsible for his actions .

It is so easy to blame someone other than self. We need to advocate personal accountability first.

His "drinking buddies" abandoned him ! That's normal. Never trust " drinking friends" and do not drink alcohol. Avoid night clubs! Do your studies and go home and get married!

He was born in the USA so he was American. 2nd, he was 18, you need to be 21 to legally drink and enter in the club. Parents need to take responsibility as their son was drunk.

That's a click bait title. It should be more like - "Indian-origin student who was denied entry into club for being underage ended up getting drunk somewhere else and died of alcohol poisoning and cold due to his reckless behavior". Parents should stop blaming others for their son's stupidity.

Below 17-18 years are not allowed in the night clubs anywhere in the world as the bouncer's check their IDs at the entrance.
Even if he was 18 years and above he had to carry an ID as proof at the entry point of the club.
Probably he must have not had the ID with him at that time and that is the reason he might be denied to enter the club.
This is very sad, The parents might be in so much shock and pain, I wish no parents deserve this agony.

This is a very misleading heading. The fact that he was denied entry into a nightclub is totally irrelevant. Why he was only found 10 hours after being reported missing is the real question to ask.

Why are we so insecure? This is clearly not related to him being Indian. Acting like this makes us look like a fool to the rest of the world. He did this to himself - case closed.

So he froze to death because he was denied entry into nightclub. Was this nightclub in the middle of the desert that he had no place else to go and froze to death ?? Cant decide what was more stupid the news headline or that guy.
